I dreamt I was in my home and a brown hare that was pretty young not scared of me and gentle which is not how hare behave wondered in and I started to give it scraps of vegetables that we did have in the house and when those finished I gate the hare our left over maize meal and when there was nothing to give it inside the house I gave it fresh carrots from the garden and my neighbour's mom made it a blended spinach because it wouldn't eat the spinach. The hare was very happy almost like a child following me around expecting me to take care of it. I started thinking how strange it is that I am taking care of this hare because it could infect me with swine flu and it could have just contaminated the whole house because I've been taking it all around the house playing so, I kicked it out and left it under our Avocado tree outside but I felt compassion and sympathy because it was cold outside and it could die so, I brought it inside but it was no longer hopping energetically and in that moment of me trying to get it back inside my other neighbour's grand child waved and shouted hello as she normally does when she sees me over the fence, I greeted her quickly and hid the hare from her. Finally I switched on the oven and warmed plated and a pan big enough for the hare, covered it with cloths and put the hare inside to warm up when that didn't wark quickly I put the hare inside the warm oven and took it ou, wrapped it in a cloth and tucked it under the cupboard where I felt it could rest and be warm. During all this at some point as the hare was following me around I took time to pray telling God that I want a job in government that pays above ten thousand rands after deductions. And also I had this feeling that I wanted my mom to get back home so I can show her this incredible and blizzard thing that happened so I had to keep the hare alive. At some point in tge kitchen as I was preparing yesterday's leftovers for the hare it spoke to me I felt like it somehow saw that I was upset and worried about it giving us swibe flu and eating all our food so it asked me if this was my food where is its own food? It had a name and called itself by name but I was now happy to share and I do not remember its name.
